Russian National Orchestra and Stanislav Kochanovsky opened Sakharov Festival in Nizhny Novgorod

Grand opening Concert of the XV Sakharov Festival took place at the State Philharmonic hall of Nizhny Novgorod. Anniversary Festival opened Russian National Orchestra with conductor Stanislav Kochanovsky and Mikhail Pletnev as a soloist.
 
 
The concert was held on May 19, 2018. It was in the framework of the program of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons". Mikhail Pletnev has not played as a soloist in Nizhny Novgorod for more than ten years.
 
 
On the conductor's podium this evening was Stanislav Kochanovsky, one of the most famous conductors of the new generation. To his 30 years he managed to become one of the best young conductors of the country, playing with all the most important and famous Russian and foreign Orchestras.
 
 
The Russian National Orchestra for its quarter-century history has gained international fame and unconditional recognition of the public and critics. The orchestra cooperates with the leading world soloists and conductors, regularly performs in the best halls of the world.
